Terms and Conditions

1) Descriptions

All items are described to the best of my ability and are guaranteed to be authentic to the period they are attributed to unless otherwise mentioned in the description. Please feel free to contact me for additional information and/or pictures of any item prior to purchase.

2) Warranty

All firearms sold here are antique collector's items, and as such are not warranted to be safe to shoot (live fire or blank). If you intend to do so with your purchase it is up to you, the purchaser, to have the item examined by a competent gunsmith. Trans-Mississippi Relics is in no way responsible for any damages or injury resulting from the use or misuse of any antique weapon sold by us.

3) Inspection Period and Authenticity Guarantee

All items purchased from Trans-Mississippi Relics come with a 5 day inspection period as to the condition of the piece, and a life-time guarantee as to their authenticity. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase contact us within the 5 day inspection period for a full refund less any shipping charges.

4) Returns

If you are dissatisfied with your purchase contact us within the 5 day inspection period for a full refund less any shipping charges. All items must be returned in the same condition as when they were shipped to the purchaser.

If your are returning the item for any reason other than a failure on the part of Trans-Mississippi Relics a 10% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.

If the need to return an item is due to a failure by Trans-Mississippi Relics to accurately describe the item, or any other failures on our part we will refund the entirety of the purchase price plus any shipping fees.

5) Purchase Requirements

Antique firearms and edged weapons will only be sold to persons over the age of 18 who reside in areas where it is legal to own such items. It is the purchaser's responsibility to be familiar with the laws in their jurisdiction.

6) Sales Terms

Texas residents will be subject to a 8.25% sales tax unless they can provide a valid resale certificate.

Buyers may call or email Trans-Mississippi Relics to make a purchase. Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of the vast majority of our offerings it is imperative that the buyer contact us to confirm an item's availability prior to payment.

Payment may be made via money order, cashier's check, certified check, personal or company check, or wire transfer. If you will be mailing payment, the item(s) will be held for 7 days to allow for payment to arrive.

Personal and company checks will have to clear prior to shipment. Please allow up to 10 days for non-certified payment to clear the bank. Once payment has been verified your item will ship within 48 hours (show travel and shipping center hours not withstanding).

7) Shipping

Buyers may specify that their purchases be shipped via USPS or UPS. Shipping quotes will be provided prior to payment being due. Insurance will be provided as per the purchaser's wishes. Trans-Mississippi Relics highly recommends that buyers opt for insurance.

Shipping is not cheap, especially with insurance, but Trans-Mississippi Relics does what is possible to keep costs down, and never makes money on shipping charges.

As a general rule Trans-Mississippi Relics does not ship outside of the United States.

8) Layaway

Layaway is offered on most items valued at over $500. Our terms are 1/3 down at the time of purchase, 1/3 in 30 days, and the balance at 60 days. Due to the long delays involving layaway, no refunds or returns will be allowed on items purchased via layaway. Buyers are in breech of contract if a payment is more than 10 days delinquent. Delinquent payment voids the layaway agreement and the item(s) will be resold with no refund given to the purchaser. If you are having difficulties making your scheduled payments contact Trans-Mississippi Relics as soon as possible to discuss options.

Occasionally layaway terms may be extended more than the standard 60 days. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.
